Norton AntiVirus won't allow Viavoice to load because detects Trojan

I have a Dell Computer with Windows XP Service Pack 2.

How do I restart Via Voice server after it unexpectly drops out?

I am using Via Voice SDK in an automated test setup. I continually start and stop the engine, but unable to kill and restart the thread.

User wizard error message

Recently IBM ViaVoice has been giving me an error message. When I close the VoiceCenter, I get a message saying that there is information ready to be processed.

Stop via voice launching at start up

I only occasionally use VV, and don't want it (VV 10 standard edition)to launch every time any of us use this computer - it adds to the boot up time unnecessarily.

Lately, when I have been working on Via Voice, I get an error message:

Word adds letter

When I am starting dictating into Word, it has started adding an "x" at the beginning of the text file. It does this just out of the blue and I can't figure out why it is doing that.

Word 2003

I am using Via Voice 10.5. Windows XP Pro with Service Pack 3. When I go into Word 2003 and try dictating, nothing happens and I get a message that it can't understand what I am saying.

Backing up voice models (not users)

I backed up my users before doing a mirror image of the hard drive to an earlier state. One of my users had a 2nd voice model. I didn't find it when I restored the users.

How do you know what ppl (pool) files are being used? Is there a way to load/use specific ones?

I am having some problems with ViaVoice not recognizing single words consistently. As an example eight is sometimes returned as delete.

ViaVoice correction window

As a transcriptionist and long time user of VV, I am used to the correction window being 'busy,' and being able only to get it back by saving speech, closing doc and reopening.
