Linux-Capable Speech Recognition Update
Submitted by Don Nicklas on Wed, 01/30/2008 - 02:22.Here is some notes from last month's Boston Voice Users meeting about using DNS with Linux.
Replacing DTMF signals with spoken word in radio communication. Linux based.
Submitted by Doug GM7SVK on Tue, 03/14/2006 - 21:41.New here and hoping to find some input / help to enable hands free operation of a radio system which currently relies on the manual input of DTMF tones (dual tone multi frequency) to command system changes. Simple voice commands are the target with the decoded input driving bash scripts to carry out instructions.

Are you using Dragon or Via Voice in Linux?
Submitted by admin on Thu, 01/12/2006 - 04:18.After reading the announcement of the Boston Voice Users' group meeting, I started wondering just how many people are using Dragon or ViaVoice on either a compatiblility layer or an emulator under Linux.
What Linux are you using and what challenges have you had to overcome to get it to work?
