Here we are...

The upgrade didn't go very smooth and we may have some rough edges at this point. Let me know of anything you find that you think is odd.

Why do I feel like a goose?

Is it that I fly south for the winter? Smiling I am beginning to feel like I have feathers for some reason.

Oh... why was I writing this? To tell you the exciting (for someone other than me) news that the server this site lives on is moving... er... migrating they call it. Hopefully all will go smoothly unless it decides to fly south for the winter. If it does, then our goose is cooked for a while. Smiling

A change in site access.

I changed the default number of comments per page from 90 to 10.

You can set your own comment parameters then click "Save Settings" and it will be saved for future use when you are logged in.

Something a little different

This really has NOTHING to do with Speech Recognition, but I thought it might be a 'fun' module to see what it does.

Yet Another Update...

I'm not sure exactly when, but in the next few days I plan to upgrade the site. So if you get a message (or none at all) telling of maintenance, you'll know what's going on.

Site look changing

I've made a few modifications so that if you are registered and logged into the site, a lot of advertising will go away. Log out to see the differences.

RSS Feeds

For the astute this will be a reminder of what you've already seen on the site.

Subscriptions back online

I've had more than one request for the subscriptions module to be re-installed. It was removed during the recent upgrade.

Spyware on speechcomputing.com?

When I visited http://www.speechcomputing.com/ on 7/4/07, a PC-cillin popup said:

Rich Text Editor Available

Hello.

The rich text editor is now available.

It's the same one we had, just a later version. Let me know how it goes.

There are a few keyboard shortcuts to help:

TINYMCE KEYBOARD SHORTCUTS
**************************
Ctrl+Z  Undo
Ctrl+Y  Redo
Ctrl+B  Bold
Ctrl+I  Italic
Ctrl+U  Underline

Of course the Bold/Italic and Underline are toggles. First time turns them on and the second turns them off.
