Is the Medical Edition of DNS 9 worth buying?
Submitted by Antony on Thu, 02/15/2007 - 11:26.Hi everyone - I'm new to the forum but have been a user of DNS 7 for a couple of years (due to problems with RSI).
I'll be starting medical school in September, and was wondering if it would be a worthwhile investment to pay out for the Medical Edition of Dragon. Is this edition truly necessary for the recognition of medical vocabulary, or can the preferred edition somehow be made to suffice?
Dragon vs Dictaphone
Submitted by Deanstick on Fri, 08/12/2005 - 20:56.Hello all, I am a newbie to this forum but I have been tasked to do some very significant research for my company. I have a very basic question:
What is better Dragon (Medical) or Dictaphone? Why?
I would very much enjoy being schooled in the basics and in the details.
Thanks so much for your time.

Helping a friend's brother with SR in his medical practice
Submitted by Skip on Sun, 07/10/2005 - 19:29.I have a friend whose brother is a practicing internist in Bakersfield California. He's using an office software he called "Soap" which I gather is the name of it. Apparently this software is Dragon Enabled so he's really wanting to go in that direction. However any and all experiences with Dragon or ViaVoice or others are welcomed!
He's interested in SR but his experiences from other doctors in his area make him think that it will be a waste of time and money. Apparently one doctor speaks slowly to it giving him the idea that SR is a slow process. He's also wondering what affect accents (Chinese, Indian etc.) have on SR speeds.
