Vocola and 2 Languages
Submitted by gilbertpremo on Thu, 09/07/2006 - 02:39.
When I switch DNS 8 to a language other than English (i.e., switch from User-English to User-French), Vocola no longer works.
What is the trick for making Vocola work in 2 languages?

I do not know about vocola,
I do not know about vocola, but unimacro has, recently, built in the possibility to translate grammars. French is not implemented yet, but the first user can do this quite easily, and other users can benefit from it.
I am willing to help with this translate process, if it presents problems.
This page also includes a demonstration movie.

Very impression Web page and
Very impression Web page and movie, but over my head at the moment.
I do not understand the basic question of why the English commands would not work when the switch is made to the French user. I understand why translation is to be desired, but not why it is necessary. That is, Natlink/Vocola is loaded and working when the English user starts. Switch that user to French, and Natlink/Vocola is deaf. Why?
If I could grasp that, then I could make progress toward getting Vocola to work in the second language.
I cannot answer that
I cannot answer that question. Vocola is a complete other development than Unimacro, though they both rely on natlink/natpython.
