Searching for "Dragon 9 Installation" Says "The word 9 was not included because it is too short."
Skip,
I'm not sure if this problem can be fixed or worked around. I wanted to pull together all the DNS 9 install discussions/tips before I did my own, but I ran into the problem above. Granted, the search probably did produce the material I wanted, but its lost in a pretty l-o-n-g listing.
Any work around would be appreciated. Also, I'm wondering about eBay-like functionality like this kind of search template:
(DNS,Dragon,NaturallySpeaking) (nine,9) (install,installation)
where the parenthesized terms are alternate search terms -- come to think of it, this is reminiscent of something else we know, like the Command Browser's unexpanded listings!
Take your time -- I'm in no hurry, so I can wait a week or more
More seriously, I can probably pick up what I need just by ransacking the recent submissions for "Dragon Install Problems". Maybe someone can suggest a simple way to go about this kind of search.

That may be impossible with
That may be impossible with the internal search engine as it does not index anything with less than 3 characters. It also won't try to search for less than 3 characters. I don't know what it would do with that search template as the internal engine is pretty much a simpleton as far as search engines go.
A possible work around is Google. Google indexes the site at least once daily from what I've seen but there may be a day or two lag in the indexes. You could use it's search abilities by using a search line such as this:
search term(s) in Google format site:speechcomputing.com
So put your search terms first followed by the site: parameter and speechcomputing.com as the domain to search.
The search query "dragon 9 installation site:speechcomputing.com" (no quotes) returns 72 instances on Google.
Hope that helps!

Skip,
Yeah, I realized there might be limitations on what could be done. Thanks for looking into it.
