Still battling on
Hello to everybody,
I have not really been interested in voice recognition for over a year and even before that I was somewhat of a new be. My current configuration to run Dragon eight preferred in both English and French is microprocessor Intel Pentium 4, 2.8 GHz, as far as RAM is concerned one gigaoctect of that 160 giggeroctets of ROM, soundcard Sound Blaster live 24, and from eMicrophones the best wired headset which they have tried from Sennheiser.
Obviously in the immediate I would like to move up in Dragon nine preferred, in both English and French -- I would like the forum's opinion on this. (It seems to be much more expensive in France). I would also like to know of any hardware or software which really help you to improve accuracy. I know that Chuck, Mr Richards and Mr Marcoe might well say -- you really just got to practice your enunciation your pace in short the way you speak, rather than rely on outside help. This may well be the case. One of the problems which I have is that I really don't have many files. I do not know what happens to a conversation for instance in messenger -- if it is automatically filed or not. In fact in live chat I really find messenger extremely bad to use with Dragon. Perhaps some people who might engage in live chat, might give me, a more friendly live chat option as compared to messenger. Also when it comes to being asked whether I want a certain text to be filed or not, if I refuse, I suppose I will not be building up my language model and vocabulary.
Thus, apart from the upgrade to Dragon nine preferred -- is there anything out there which is really worth buying?
Best Greetings, To All Mark Fletcher.
