Viavoice Help for upgrade to 10.5

I just received ViaVoice 10.5. Do I load it directly over 10? When I tried to download it, it said that there is another speech program that is running. Please shut it off. There is no speech program running. I do have Dragon which I have not used in six months. Is that what they're referring to? Can I just continue through that screen and load 10.5 or do I have to remove Dragon. When I spoke to Marty about two systems on the same machine, he said that he had three on his computer. So could somebody please help me load 10.5 by getting past that screen that says, I have another speech program. Thank you, Paul
VV must be in his Startup
VV must be in his Startup folder. When ViaVoice is started and is then shut down, even though it's not used, the speech engine is left running in the background. VV will not install while it is in this state.
The first thing to do is to disable all start-up items, anti-virus and etc. and then reboot.
In the first instance, install on top of the existing 10, and if that creates problems, then do a clean install.

Where can you get ViaVoice
Where can you get ViaVoice Pro USB version 10.5? I am using 10.0 and have tried to locate 10.5 but can only find it in German versions.

You can also get it from Nuance at http://www.nuance.co.uk/viavoice/ in the UK, and http://www.nuance.com/viavoice/pro/ in the US
Depending on where you are, you should find it on the shelves of any good computer store such as PC World in the UK and Ireland, and CompUSA or Circuit City in the USA.
Make sure that you read the blurb on the back which tells you that it is compatible with Office 2003. The front of the box will still have ViaVoice 10 on its face as they never bothered to change that part of the packing. Make sure that the disc has copyright written on it up to 2004. That will tell you that it is 10.5. If you're ordering online specify that you want 10.5, as some of the vendors are still trying to offload old stock of 10.
10.5 comes as the UK and US versions, and you can choose the version you want at installation.
