Andrea ANC-750 headphone element quality

I ordered an Andrea 750 stereo headset from emicrophones hoping that it would not only work well as a speech recognition microhpone, but also as a way to have some nice background music playing.
I was disappointed because the headphones sounded very bad. It was all boomy bass and tinny treble, and no midrange at all. I simply can't listen to music that way.
Has anyone else noticed this?
What would be a good headset: good mic and decent sounded stereo headphones?
Mike

I've not tried the Andrea
I've not tried the Andrea 750 so I can't be of help there. The best authority on that would be Marty at eMicrophones. It seems someone once said they were as good as their stereo headphones but they didn't state what their stereo headphones were. That was a while back on the old lists though.
I do wish someone would get their act together on headsets. I would really like to have a single headset that had quality speakers as well as a quality microphone.
It would be nice to be able to have a decent switching system that would allow that quality headset to be switched between the computer and phone.
As far as the headset/microphone wish, I'm thinking of trying to use my Sennheiser products on my head at once. A pair of Sennheiser HD-555 headphones along with Sennheiser ME-3.
hmmm... too fancy for duct tape...
On the train, I've used
On the train, I've used Sennheiser noise-canceling headphones with my iPod, while also using the Radio Shack microphone. It's not a bad combination. (And no one dares sit next to anyone with that kind of stuff on their head!)

I'll have to give it a go soon. The only one that comes near me is my dog. She doesn't care what I have on my head so long as there's food for her to eat.
