install problem
UPDATE ---------->
I killed the culprit that hosted in:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Python
there was an entry of version 2.6 and deleted that one so only my actual installation of version 2.5 is left.
Then I run enable.py again in my C:\natlink\natlink directory and got postive feedback
However,
what comes now? How can I see that Dragonfly is running? How can I work with DragonFly now?
Can I download DragonFly macros now and natlink will automatically load them from app dir and then I can dictate a macros name into any text with DNS??
thanks and best regards,
Pedal
-------------------OLD
Hello
I found this great site while I was looking for nice macros and scripts for my daily work with DNS pro.
I am greatly interested to use Dragonfly and see if it will help me since I am not used to write stuff my self and would like to use others macros and the perhaps improve them for my needs.
So,
Well, I followed your instructions on Dragonfly's Install documention site but had no success with the three featured downloads.
Then I uninstalled all and mistakenly I came to Unimacro's install site and installed this pythonneededfornatlink2.5a realease Golf 3.7 ....
1 python-2.5.2.msi 10 M 06.10.2008 14:33 -a--
2 pywin32-212.win32-py2.5.exe 5 M 06.10.2008 14:28 -a--
3 wxPython2.6-win32-ansi-2.6.4.0-py25.exe 5 M 06.10.2008 14:31 -a--
4 PyXML-0.8.4.win32-py2.5.exe 875 k 23.10.2008 01:00 -a--
5 setup-natlink-3.7golf.exe 3 M 12.09.2009 14:52 -a--
natlink python install unimacro, Installation.pdf 144 k 12.09.2009
they all derive from :
pythonneededfornatlink2.5a.exe 21 M 12.09.2009 14:40 -a--
However, Python seems to run and the Natlink GUI detects my DNS and after starting this I got the welcome message.
I installed then the dragonfly installer for windows (I use XP 32bit)dragonfly-0.6.5.win32.
So, well I DO NOT know how I can start Dragonfly ?!
Besides, first I followed as I noted the instructions from den DF install guide but at the step where I had to enable.py
-> Enable the NatLink Python extension to Dragon NaturallySpeaking.
$Id: enable.py 172 2008-09-29 16:33:59Z drocco $ (c) 2008 Daniel J. Rocco
I got always this error in my cmd console:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\NatLink\NatLink\enable.py", line 514, in
def find_and_select_python_installation(pythons=enumerate_python_versions().keys()):
File "C:\NatLink\NatLink\enable.py", line 268, in enumerate_python_versions
install_path = registry.QueryValue(key, 'InstallPath')
WindowsError: [Error 2] Das System kann die angegebene Datei nicht finden (System is unable to find file...)
This is also the case with the way I installed Python with the Golfinstaller, see above, and when I copied Rocco's Natlink files into my C:\Natlink directory :'(
Sorry, for the amount of text but I hope you can help me now. The hint might be the error message from above since Rocco's Natlink enable.py does not complete successfully.
best regards
Pedal

We are working on/thinking
We are working on/thinking of Dragonfly integration with the combined NatLink/Unimacro/Vocola installer. Not yet working, as far as I know. I have problems myself with switching on Dragonfly.
Quintijn
Hello Quintijn thanks alot
Hello Quintijn
thanks alot for answering so fast.
Ok, I deinstalled everyting and started from scratch following the process given in DragonFly's documention.
1st)
I installed ActivePython ActivePython-2.5.4.4-win32-x86 into my root dir:
c\Python25
2nd)
Did install the win extension from M. Hammond:
pywin32-214.win32-py2.5
3rd)
downloaded and copied content from into my root too. But could not start enable.py successfully. So I copied it into C:\progam files\natlink though I am German and my XP too and we have out stuff normally in another dir, besides that I have normally everything on my D:\ partition.
BUT starting enable.py from cmd console gave me the same error. It prompts:
C:\Program Files\NatLink>enable
Found Python installation (2.5).
Unregistering NatLink module

So,
please how can I get rid of these error messages and finally enjoy the power of DragonFly?
Ok, fast again, but a guess:
Ok, fast again, but a guess: I think you need elevated mode, if working in Vista. Could study the
http://qh.antenna.nl/unimacro/installation/install...
page of Unimacro, although you are on an order installation procedure now,
Quintijn
Hey I could successfully
Hey
I could successfully install it!
I had natlink in C:\natlink and after x tries I uninstalled it there by enable.py /U ! That did the trick, cause now I could enable it under C:\program files\natlink, which was not possible before.
Anyhow, now I am to stupid to use DF. I comes up with Python message and so on and I only installed until now the Word-Style comands from here but I believe:
Since I am talkin in German with my Mic and the comands are wiritten in a way that they expect German I have a no go
what a pitty
