Comeback to Dragon

After about 18 months without a Dragon (my RSI got better and I switched to Mac), I'm back, because iListen unfortunately cannot develop a French version due to compatibility problems with that language version of the Philips speech engine.

I think this site is a great idea, though I'm a bit confused with the cohabitation of the forum and blogs. When I have a question, I'd tend to post it to the forum -- but is that really what people use the most? What is the rationale behind having both blogs and a forum in this community?

FWIW, I posted a request here: http://www.speechcomputing.com/node/272 -- I'm looking for the cheapest solution to get myself a Dragon-PC aside my beloved iBook.

The rationale

When I set the system up, I wanted people to be able to have not only the ability to be part of a forum but to have a place of their own.

There were several people over the years that mentioned that.

So if you want your own blog on Speech Recognition and feel you want to tell the world whatever, it's available.

If you want to stay in a forum, that's available.

If you want to write a book as part of the system, that's available too.

If you just want to write a story about your SR experience, that's here too.

It's all about options and what you choose to use! I have all of it set so it's on the front page. This helps people find it and also helps to send it out via the RSS feed without a lot of subscriptions.

Cool, thanks for the

Cool, thanks for the explanation!

I like the place.
