Why does Windows XP update cause problems

Everytime I receive and install the Windows update, after re-booting, ViaVoice reverts back to its default initial user set up. I then have to delete my current user file, and replace it with a back-up.

Admittedly the entire process takes approximately 30 seconds, but it is very annoying, particularly if new words had been added subsequent to the last backup (usually about one week earlier).

Has anyone experienced this with DNS?

Quentin, Strange behavior

Quentin,

Strange behavior that I have never experienced with any version of Dragon NaturallySpeaking.

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong, it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.- Douglas Adams (1952 - 2001)
