Dictation into Ffirefox

Has anyone come across the following problem:-
When trying to fill forms using Firefox, after dictating the first line, everything locks up for 30 seconds or more. The same happens with each subsequent line. It happened even while as dictating this This has only happened in recent times.
Using Firefox 2.09, ViaVoice, Intel Core 2 Duo 2 GHz, 4 Mb Ram, Win XP Professional.

Further to my last message, it is interesting that ViaVoice works perfectly in Internet Explorer 8. Obviously the problem relates specifically to Firefox.

FWIW, Firefox is up to version 3.0.11 now -- don't if that would correct the problem or not.

I tried that version, but it created more problems than it solved. For example it continually asked me to update one of the Adobe programmes, and repeatedly would not go away no matter what I did. There were also some other problems that I cannot recall now that were a terrible nuisance. The same applied to Firefox 2. 0. 20. That's why I am still on 2. 0. 9.
