Can I Eliminate a User?

I have Dragon, Vers. 8.10.000.279SP1(standard).

I did a System Restore the other day, and lost the ability to use my User. I would get a message with that User: The vocabulary you have chosen 'General-Large' is incompatible or invalid.

I was able to find on my computer speech files I used with Dragon 7.0 that the Dragon program was able to restore to 8.0. (Somehow, I couldn't get working my speech files copied from vers. 8 to a zip drive). Oh well, still, I was able to resurrect old speech files).

Now I have two users: (a) My name (v8) and (b) My name, without the v8 (the one that doesn't work. Apparenly, the Location of both user files is listed as "Default." Since typically the default location of user files is: c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\scansoft\naturallyspeaking8\users

I checked there, and there is a file under My Name (presumably the one that doesn't work). And another, My Name (v)8

When I start Dragon now (by clicking on the program icon), I have to go through an extra step, pick the User I want. It's a nuisance Sad because one of the users doesn't work. I'd like to be able to delete the second user, that is (b) My name, and just keep the first user, (a) My name (v8). That way, if I clicked on Dragon, I hope it would simply load, and not ask me to select a user.

Alas, I can't seem to delete the useless user from Dragon. If I click on "Open User," I get a box with the two Users, but there seems no way from this box to delete the second User.

Can I simply go to c:\documents and settings\all users\application data\scansoft\naturallyspeaking8\users

and delete the file under My Name. That would keep the file My Name (v)8.

I'm hoping Smiling then that when I boot up, I wouldn't get asked which user I wanted to select--that clicking on the Dragon icon would simply start up the program, and I wouldn't have to go to the extra step of picking a user.

Hmmmmm. Don't know how I missed that. Must've been tired last night. Did all that unnecessary work trying to locate the files in question. Anyway thanks. The deletion was easy.
