If you use a Philips recorder like the Philips Pocket Memo 9600 and SpeechExec transcription softare see:
1. Update Information for Service Pack 2 for SpeechExec 5.0
2. Download Service Pack 2 for SpeechExec. Drop down the list next to Desktop Dictation and choose SpeechExec Pro. The update is approximately 50 megabytes.

DS-5000 whips the Philips 9600
Of course if you use the superior Olympus DS-5000, as noted in our DS-5000 vs Philips 9600 Review, software and firmware upgrades are automatic and you don't have to go looking for them.
