Is 3MB Cache Enough for DNS ?
Submitted by jkg369 on Wed, 08/20/2008 - 14:33.
Hi all,
I am buying a desktop with E7200 Core2Duo , with 3mb CACHE. Will this amount of cache be enough to run DNS 9.5 /10 real well?
Suggestions appreciated.

why, you're all over the forums with this question.
3 MB of L2 cache is a bit on the low side. Since the cache is more important than the speed, I would recommend looking for something with an E8400 or better with a minimum L2 cache of 6 MB. The higher the cache, the better the performance (speed) and accuracy. Even though DNS 10 reduces the latency and displays text faster than DNS 9.5, you're still better off with L2 cache minimum 4 MB and ideally 6 MB.
