Sorry, you are going by the number that's issued to new registered users. That's off just a bit though.
The most recent user was given the number 1925, the actual count as of NOW (8/23/2008) for registered users is 1437. The difference of 488 is the number of spammers I've deleted since I started the site.
The numbers can't be changed because they link your account to a LOT of things in the system.
Soo... now ya know....
I guess you'll all go party anyway.

We get a lot of "dead" registrants that want to sell pharmaceuticals, insurance, sex and beyond. They rarely make it to prime-time to post though.
