Wrong Mouse Jumps (using "Mouse Grid" and "Mouse+direction+#") using DNS 9.5 with Vista
Submitted by ehrliche on Mon, 07/07/2008 - 13:29.
I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it myself:
After Mouse Grid command and first #, the pointer no longer follows the center of the smaller and smaller grid causing a click in the wrong spot.
Command such as "Mouse Up 10" moves the pointer diagonally upward in a big jump!
I tried disabling all services and startup applications to run in a "cleaner" Vista environment to no avail.
Any ideas? Very frustrating.

No ideas, but a few
No ideas, but a few questions:
Do you have more monitors?
Does the Dragon log file say something? Note the time something occurs, and you can look back at that time.
Try maybe to repair the NatSpeak installation?
Try to make a new user, just to see if it is in your speech profile.

Multiple Monitors
Quintijn brings up an interesting point. We have multiple monitors on Windows Vista and if we say MouseGrid, the MouseGrid appears on the 1st monitor only. If we say MouseGrid Window, the MouseGrid properly appears on the Window of the appropriate monitor we have selected but if we attempt to say another number, the MouseGrid will jump to monitor #1. However we can deploy the Mouse Up or Down <1-100> command but it really isn't much use. We had to edit the Mouse Up or Down <1-10> command because it simply didn't offer enough flexibility.

It sounds to me as if what you are seeing on the screen and what DNS are seeing are two different things.
Was it working correctly before and just started this behavior? If so, think of any recent updates or program/equipment additions. Something in them or their drivers may have affected DNS seeing the screen.
If it has always done this, I would be very suspicious of the video driver. It sounds like DNS isn't being fed the right info about video parameters and what's on the screen.
I would guess this might also include the mouse and it's drivers as DNS is just using that to find where things are.
That's about all I can think of ... perhaps others will know more.
