deleting multiple messages
Submitted by petteys on Mon, 06/16/2008 - 20:08.
any ideas how to delete multiple messages in Outlook? By keyboard, you would hold down the shift key while down arrowing.
thanks

Select Down 4
Say “Select Down 4” to select the next four messages followed by “Delete”.

it doesn't seem to work to say select down 4, I don't get them all selected. What am I doing wrong?
Select Next 4 Paragraphs
You are correct. We had assumed that a logical command such as “Select Down 1-20” would have been native to NaturallySpeaking but is in fact in our KnowBrainer 2007 third-party command software. Because we use KnowBrainer, we sometimes forget where DNS leaves off and KnowBrainer begins and we apologize for that. KnowBrainer even has 2 commands to delete all of your e-mail messages and return you to the inbox by saying “Delete All” or “Delete All Permanently” (bypassing the Trash). However, NaturallySpeaking has a slightly awkward sounding command that will do exactly what you're looking for. Try saying “Select Next 4 Paragraphs”.
