XP 64-bit

Hi,

Sorry if this has been asked before -
Is Dragon NaturallySpeaking professional 9.5 compatible with Windows XP professional 64-bit edition?
Will there be a performance increase over the 32-bit edition?

Many thanks in advance,
jamiepm

No!

NaturallySpeaking 9.5 will not install on a
64-bit operating system without hacking and if you do manage to install
NaturallySpeaking, it will actually run slower than on a 32-bit operating
system. You'll find additional answers on the KnowBrainer
Forum
, including a way to edit a DNS .MSI installer so that you can force
NaturallySpeaking to install on Vista 64-bit but we still recommend against
this procedure.

Thanks Lunis, I will check

Thanks Lunis,

I will check out the kb forum and I will steer clear of any tinkering. If it ain't broke don't fix it.

Dragon versions 6, 7 and 8 all run normally on 64-bit XP.
It's just Version 9 that won't instal.

In 64-bit, it's necessary to use an older version or start to explore other software such as Microsoft's own.

64-bit

Running Dragon 6, 7 or 8 in 64-bit Windows is the same as running it in 32-bit Windows.
It's only a 32-bit program. It runs normally on either.
