Results box in Vista
Hi,
In Windows XP my results box would be anchored in the top left of the screen which was perfect.
In Windows Vista it moves from corner to corner and elsewhere apparently randomly and sometimes appears completely off the screen at the top right hand side. If I anchor the results box it appears right next to or even on top of where I am typing. Sometimes useful but mainly annoying.
Is this how it should be or has something gone awry?

This is a bug, which is also present on windows XP, in NatSpeak 9.5 (possibly also 9.1). It is reported to Nuance by the vendor inTAAL in Utrecht, Netherlands.
I hope Nuance comes with a fix soon, because it is a very annoying issue,

Hi Quintjin,
I did not have the same problem when using DNS 9.1 on my XP professional installation.
This alone has made me seriously consider going back to Windows XP and DNS 9.1
I usually use the results box to 'tune myself in' if you know what I mean? I just get out of sync with a constantly moving results box!
Thanks mate,

Require click to select menus and controls
Fred came up with another option on the KnowBrainer
Forums which you might find more appetizing. We forgot about it until Matt made
the recommendation in the previous thread. You may be able to prevent this
problem entirely by placing a checkmark in “Require click to select menus and
controls” under the Commands tab of the DNS options. On the downside, you will
have to say “Click OK” to click the OK button but this isn’t too high a price
to pay to rid yourself of the roaming results box and rolling back to DNS 9.1
may not eliminate the problem. Some end-users have gone back to Ver. 9.1 but
still have the problem.

Deactivate Active Accessibility
You can force the Dictation Box to anchor itself
anywhere you want if you're willing to do without Active Accessibility by
removing the checkmark from “Use Active Accessibility for menu and dialog
control” under the Miscellaneous tab of the DNS options. However, this will
cause other problems. Our solution was to deactivate Active Accessibility and
add various pseudo-Accessibility commands to KnowBrainer
2007 such as OK (click the okay button), Cancel and a few others. As
Quintijn mentioned, this is a bug (in Ver. 9.0, 9.1 and 9.5) that will likely
be rectified in Ver. 10.

Hi Lunis,
I tried both the suggestions above. Unchecking the 'Require "click" to select.....' made the results box stay mostly in the top left corner and sometimes in the top right corner. In Notepad the results box will follow where you type and correct but aligns itself neatly just below where you are typing or correcting which is actually quite handy. Stays in the top left corner in Microsoft Word.
I find saying "click" quite difficult after three years of not using it.
I need to work a bit more without 'Active Assistance...' and then create the commands I have lost, as you have mentioned above and see how this works out.
Many thanks for your help and advice on this.
