Skype commands
Submitted by John64 on Mon, 06/09/2008 - 01:00.
Does anyone have voice macros for Skype?
Apparently there were VoiceCommands in 2006
on SpeechWiki which can no longer be installed.
Any suggestions?
John

I have a very brief selection of vocola macros, the only one I really use is the "open chat":
send chat = {Enter};
answer call = {Alt+page_up} ;
hangup [call] = {Alt+page_down} ;
(start|open) chat = {shift+f10} {t} ;

Lunis,
As a C4 Quad of 39 years I will happily take you up on your very
generous offer.

Below, I've added correspondence we had a little earlier.
Unfortunately that's the problem with most wireless headset microphones. They all require that you push a switch. The only microphone I can recommend would be the Hybrid Samson Airline 77 wireless microphone. The only reason I'm recommending this microphone is because you can turn it on and leave it running for 14 continuous hours on a single charge. However, it's one way and you cannot use it as a wireless telephone headset because there is no speaker. You would have to resort to using a mouth stick in a standard speakerphone but this would be one way to make it all work. You can even dial numbers with its wireless microphone with KnowBrainer.
We do not work hands-free because we have to.
We do so because it is the most efficient way to work!

Need help,
I would like to purchase a wireless microphone that would allow me to use the telephone and of course
speech recognition. I am currently using the following:
Dell Dimension 8400
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.40 GHz
2.00 GB of RAM
160 Gds HD
Microsoft Windows XP
Media Center Edition
Version 2003
Service Pack 2
DNS Pro 9
Andrea USB pod
Buddy Gooseneck Mic
The Buddy Gooseneck Mic is pretty useless as a noise canceling microphone.
I use my computer at home in a fairly noisy environment.
I spend about five hours a day in an electric wheelchair and the rest of the time
in a hospital bed. As a C4 Quad I have no use of my arms and hands.
The Goose is convenient in that I am able to wheel up to it or have someone
move it to me on a wheeled table while I'm in bed.
Your Hybrid Plantronics CS70N was looking pretty good until I realized I had to
push a switch.
I am using Bright House Digital phone service (originally Time Warner).
Any ideas??
Thanks for any help,
John Sanders
