Task grammer in unimacro
I just installed Unimacro v3.5. For some reason I'm not able to get the tasks grammer working correctly. I watched the demo video in the unimacro website. As per the instructions, I did the following:
1. Kept the mouse on task 1 and said " task position 1".
2. Then moved the mouse to task 5 and said "task position 5".
3. Then moved the mouse to clock and said "Task position clock"
Even after initializing the task positions by doing the above three steps, I'm not able to consistently select the correct task by saying "task n". Most times, it switches to one task above or one task below. Am I missing anything? Does the task grammer in unimacro dependent upon anything else such as the display resolution?

Hello, I think you didn't
Hello,
I think you didn't miss anything. Something seems to be wrong here.
Could you send the contents of the tasks inifile to my e-mail?
You can say "Edit tasks" and paste the contents of the file that opens into the e-mail.
Do you have one screen or possibly more screens? This could be a complication.
Greetings, Quintijn
Does not sound exactly like
Does not sound exactly like what your experience, but I've had two problems with the tasks grammar.
- Not positioning the cursor accurately enough. I keep my taskbar on the side of the screen so that the distance between each task is identical. When setting the task positions, it's important that the cursor is almost exactly in the same spot on each task (e.g., a few pixels down from the top of that particular taskbar button). Otherwise you get 'drift', where the sum of the inaccuracies is large enough to place the cursor on the wrong task.
- Not removing the "read -only" flag on the ini file where the coordinates are saved during the task positioning. There will be an error message in the log window. This is a known problem (http://qh.antenna.nl/unimacro/installation/knownpr...)
Solved
Thanks Per. The problem was that actions.ini was read only. Making that writable fixed the issue.
I am not sure what happens
I am not sure what happens yet, but it can be of help to try:
Task 1 test
Task 5 test etc.
The mouse remains at the position of the task and does not click.

Quintijn, Thank you for your efforts on Unimacro. Unimacro is very usefull. I can't believe I have been using the Dragon NaturallySpeaking without unimacro for so long.
