Hi, i bought dns preffered two weeks ago, and registered it, trained it, and it was working well.
I had to do a system restore today (unrelated to dns), and now, after registering it i get the error message 'the vocabulary you have chosen general/large is incompatible/invalid"
I think it thinks i have a pirated copy, so i have contacted nuance.
Thought i would post here as well, just in case some setting has stuffed up during my system restore

It is well known for many years and across many versions of Dragon NaturallySpeaking that running a Windows system restore will corrupt a user training profile.
There are two solutions:
1. Find and restore a backup of your user training files.
2. Create a new user training profile. CLICK HERE for easy-to-follow directions for creating a new user training profile.

The likely explanation is that the system restore has corrupted your Dragon User file. User file corrupion can happen in a number of ways and this is the usual error message. Running a system restore is almost guaranteed to corrupt the file.
You should be able to restore using the back-up User file.
Pirated copies of Dragon are very common and you are straongly advised to purchase through a Nuance Certified Partner [but of course I would say that!

Maybe the number of causes for user file corruption is so large that no diagnostic message could be definitive or informative to the user.
Thankfully i had backed up!
