what is the difference between viavoice pro 10.0 and the 10.5

ViaVoice version 10.5 just adds support for Microsoft Office 2003. I was a beta tester for version 10.5 and still found it did not help solve some of the problems I had in Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook. Others have said it did help.

As Marty said, it adds support for Microsoft Office 2003. I never use Outlook, but use Outlook Express, and dictate into Excel, Web based texts, and PDFs. I have used it with Calculator as well.
The Vocabulary Manager is now arranged alphabetically, therefore making it easier to edit.
There appears to be some improvement in the speech engine.
The speech files are now contained within the users Documents and Settings instead of the ViaVoice programme folder.
These appear to be the main improvements, but there could be other underlying improvements of which I am not aware. Certainly it works extremely well for me.
