Update on Windows Speech Recognition in Vista
CLICK HERE to see Rob Chambers blog entry where he discusses the soon-to-be released macro facility that by uttering a single phrase allows you to:
a.) Insert text
b.) Send keystrokes
c.) Launch programs
d.) Pretend that you actually said something else.
Rob says: "It'll be able to do far more than that if you're comfortable with XML and/or VBScript/JScript."
In addition, he talks about Spelling Mode ("Start Spelling") which allows you to spell out any word you wish and even to edit any letters within a word.
Finally he discusses Typing Mode ("Start Typing").This allows you to say things like "Control Shift Right Arrow", or "F1."
