Logging into forum

Do you think you could remind me what I need to do to establish a permanent login to the forum. On two of the computers I use, the site always opens with me logged in, but on the others, I cannot find a way of doing this and have to log on every time... in Firefox, typing one letter brings up the rest, but at work I have to use explorer and type my full username and passwore... am I missing something or is this simply an internet explorer function?

The website login is
The website login is maintained in a cookie. When you log out of the website using the 'log out' menu entry, the cookie shows you as being logged out. So one solution becomes not to log out of the system with that browser.
Cookies for Internet Explorer and Firefox are maintained separately. Any of the Internet Explorer based add-on browsers will use the IE browser cookies. What this means is if you are logged in with Firefox, IE will have no idea if you are logged in or out.
There's a function in Windows (IE?) to save logins. If that's enabled, I think you only have to type the username and the password is filled in for you. I don't even remeber how to enable/disable that. It's been a while since I've used that as I prefer to maintain passwords and log into sites with Roboform as it's more secure.
Perhaps others can help with how they do it.
Thanks, I am using NoScript,
Thanks,
I am using NoScript, but cookies are enabled for this site. This computer at least puts the information in the log in box and I just have to press enter.
A mystery.
