DNS 9.5 : A source for sample macros and a good reference?

Is there a web source for some importable sample macros for DNS Pro that are more illustrative (and useful) than the samples DNS comes with? Also, what about a better reference for creating macros than the Help files? Is it necessary to purchase a third-party book?

Thanks,

Stan

You spent serious $money

You spent serious $money when you purchased DNS Pro. If you don't take advantage of its macro capabilities than you're only getting about 25% of what you paid for.

If you want anything decent, you are DEFINITELY going to have to purchase a third-party book. Larry Allen’s Scripting for Dragon NaturallySpeaking 9 at www.emicrophones.com is your best choice but like most things in life, the best choices cost $. This macro guide is the definitive macro source for creating commands within DNS Pro.

Larry Allen's website also includes some free macro downloads.

We have our own KnowBrainer 2006 third-party command product that includes 11,000 pre-fab commands that you can examine, edit, copy, deactivate and even delete. We take a different approach than Nuance with our macro collection. Unlike Nuance, we display all 11,000 time saving commands because we believe examples are the best way to learn. We originally acquired NaturallySpeaking so we could also eliminate typing. With that in mind... we added the ability to dictate code into our KnowBrainer command software. Feel free to download a copy of our VerbalBasic Manual (verbal command writing guide). Dictating macro scripts is approximately 10 times faster, not to mention simpler, than typing code by hand. It is also a lot less prone to error because you won't have to worry about forgetting a quote or a brace. HOWEVER, like most of the best goods and services, KnowBrainer isn't free either.

Lunis's suggestions are good. You might also join the NatPro mailing list, and peruse its archives. There are some good macros there.
