Developing using Eclipse

rowead's picture

I've just started using Eclipse for developing Java enterprise applications. I'd noticed that it is for the most part unwilling to cooperate with NaturallySpeaking. the menus usually are recognized but none of the dialogue elements or the window elements. Nor does it recognize normal window navigation commands.

Does anyone have any suggestions for improving Eclipse's ability to be used by NaturallySpeaking?

Hello, Please also consult

Hello,

Please also consult the voicecoder list of yahoogroups.

When you want to code with speech recognition, voicecoder is probably an involved but the best solution at this moment.

However:
-attempts to port voicecoder to Eclipse have not succeeded yet.
-And Java is not included yet in voicecoder, but that could be done.

So I believe there are not many solutions at hand for Eclipse at the moment.

About recognizing commands from menus etc please also consult vocola and unimacro for possibilities.

Note vocola, unimacro and voicecoder all rely on the natlink/natpython (opensource) extension of NatSpeak, and are all three opensource as well.

Greetings, Quintijn
