new computer recommendations - update FAQ?

The "new computer" recommendations in the FAQ are out of date. I am willing to assemble a new one from collected suggestions if desired. To start out: my local computer place offers three preset specs for "office" and three for "gaming. Here are the top "office" one and the three "gaming" ones. Shouldn't they have a separate sound card for our purposes, though? (The last "gaming" suggestion is quite a bit higher cost than the first two, so I'm wondering if it would be more than necessary.)
