Where did my post go?

Have you posted a comment or topic only to find it "gone" afterward? If so you may have noticed that further posts are also missing.
So what's going on here?
Spam protection. I know, you probably are NOT a spammer, but we have had them trawling here many many times a day. I won't divulge what I'm using for this, but it's pretty good once it learns.
I'm trying to check multiple times per day to see if anyone has been "caught" so I can release or remove them.
Maybe someday the kids will go away and we can have our Internet without armament.

Sorry to hear this is a problem.
If you have time (and I realize you may not), you might add a message to the posting process to inform users of what's going on when their post doesn't appear right away. I double-posted yesterday, thinking it was just a momentary glitch of some sort, and now both posts are there - looks a little lame. (This is the latest thread about ctfmon.exe).

Randy,
There are times when the Internet is slow and posting a response on this forum takes a little longer. Whenever you see this happen, just give it time. It will eventually post. I don't think the problem with your double post has anything to do with Skip's antispam program. I have seen this occur occasionally and it is even happened to me. I simply wait until he posts. Eventually it will.

I'm reluctant to do this due to the semi-intelligent nature of some of the programs the spammers are using.
